Like the sun floor heating uses heat waves to heat objects. Instead of air heating the objects, heat waves transport the energy. Physiologically a room with a floor hotter than the surrounding air feels mor comfortable than a room with a floor colder than the surrounding air.
Floors with floor heating also have the advantage of drying quickly. The heating is uniform and even if the surrounding air is a lot colder, people in the room feel a sense of comfort. Floor heating delivers comfortable warmth for the feet without uselessly heating the surrounding air. Certain sources say that this type of heating allows for 15 to 20 % savings on energy. This heating method is cheaper than other systems, if one wants to heat the floor and not the whole room.
This system offers equal advantages for other agricultural building types like farm workshops, ateliers de transformation and certain breeding buildings. It is invisible and silent. When autumn comes the concrete, wood and ceramic floors under our feet become colder more often.
In the last years certain companies realized that people working in rooms with large surfaces like to have comfortably warm feet. These companies installed floor heating working with hot water or glycol. The technique is not new. In fact the Romans used floor heating in their public baths!
It's easy
Our floor heating system makes hot water (or another hot liquid) circle through a mesh of polyethylene tubes which are inserted into the reinforced concrete at construction time. Corresponding thermostatic valves allow the heating to be controlled in different zones of the floor.
